The long, great Milwaukee summer is over and we're officially into the winter sports season!

As the 2015-16 Bucks prepare for the new season, the team has been hosting a variety of "Bucks Tipoff Week" events, beginning with last week’s ticket giveaways at area Wendy’s restaurants and continuing Saturday when Bango hosted a social media scavenger hunt where Bucks fans could win free Opening Night tickets.

As I tweeted Friday, the Bucks’ presence is all over Downtown as the bridges spanning the Milwaukee River are lined with Bucks flags, and the BMO Harris Bank building at 770 N. Water St. is now lit up at night with the Bucks logo.

On Sunday afternoon, players surprised shoppers at three area Pick ‘n Save stores: two in Oak Creek (8770 S. Howell Ave. and 6462 S. 27th St.) and one in Wauwatosa (6950 W. State St.).

Personally, my tickets are locked in as my group held our annual ticket draft yesterday at Major Goolsby's.

The Bucks open the season, at home, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against the New York Knicks

Let the season begin! Go Bucks.
