Christian Laettner's most memorable basketball moment has become a bit of a pop culture memory.  It was recently reborn in the ESPN documentary "I Hate Christian Laettner," and, of course, came when he hit a buzzer-beater jumper to send Duke to the Final Four in 1992.

A quarter-century later, Laettner's 46, married with four children and continuing to give back to the game that has given him so much.  To this end, and thanks to recruitment from the Wauwatosa East basketball program (my alma mater), Laettner's coming to town next month to hold youth basketball camps and raise money for his charity and Tosa East basketball.

On Nov. 7-8, Laettner, the all-time NCAA Tournament career scoring leader and National Player of the Year in 1992, will work with players and coaches to develop fundamental skills in kids using drills that are age and talent level appropriate.

The two-hour Christian Laettner Basketball Academy camps will be held at Wauwatosa East, 7500 Milwaukee Ave.

A reception with Laettner will be held Saturday evening, Nov 7. at Palermo's Pizza in the Menomonee Valley.

The complete schedule is below.

Christian Laettner is one of the most successful college basketball players in NCAA history. He led Duke to championships in 1991 and1992, and is the only player to ever start in four consecutive Final Fours. He is the all-time NCAA Tournament career scoring leader and was National Player of the Year in 1992.

In addition to being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 3rd overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft, Laettner was a member of the 1992 U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball Team "The Dream Team" which won the gold medal in Barcelona.

Christian is currently CEO & Founder of the Christian Laettner Basketball Academy. He travels the country sharing his knowledge and love of the game.
