The Milwaukee County Parks in conjunction with the Wisconsin Sports Group (WSG) have announced a strategic partnership to renovate the Lincoln Park tennis courts into futsal courts this spring.

Futsal, a 5-a-side version of soccer, is one of the fastest growing sports around the world. Throughout the United States, under-utilized tennis courts, basketball courts and even old parking lots are being transformed into futsal courts across metropolitan areas nationwide.

Recently, the mayor of Los Angeles announced similar renovation plans in East Los Angeles. The U.S. Soccer Foundation recently renovated tennis courts in Houston and Orlando.

Keith Tozer brings his wealth of futsal knowledge to WSG. Tozer serves as the U.S. Futsal Men's National Team Head Coach, a FIFA Futsal Instructor, the Technical Director of U.S. Youth Futsal and in January was named Commissioner of the new Professional Futsal League (PFL).

"We are very excited about this great partnership with Milwaukee County Parks to provide the children and adults of Milwaukee the opportunity to play futsal in a safe and fun environment," Tozer said. "These courts will allow thousands of children who might not have enjoyed the opportunity to play sports before, the ability to grow as an athlete as well as nurturing social skills in a team environment."
