Earnell Lucas, the former Milwaukee police officer who has headed baseball commissioner Bud Selig's security detail the past few years, has been promoted to MLB's senior director of security and facility management.
Lucas, one of the nicer gentlemen in sports, will handle security at major events and administer the Resident Security Agent (RSA) program.
Lucas spent 25 years with the Milwaukee Police Department, serving as captain from 1999-2002. He graduated cum laude from Marquette with a degree in criminology and law studies. He also graduated from the FBI National Academy and the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command.
