Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele will open the 2013 golf season with the annual "group tee-off" at Currie Park Golf Course on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m. The annual event marks the official opening of all 15 Milwaukee County Parks golf courses.

"We have anticipated this day for the last couple of weeks, but the weather has not made scheduling the tee-off easy," said Abele. "In the few days that we were able to open some courses, golfers came out eager to get the season started - and the Parks staff were ready to greet them."

During the tee-off event, golfers can purchase the Milwaukee County Parks Golf Discount Card. With the card, patrons save up to 50 percent on green fees at any course.

For a limited time, golfers will pay the lowest prices of the season as they get their swing back in shape.

For same day reservations, patrons can call the courses directly.
