The second annual PNC Bank Milwaukee Running Festival on Saturday, Nov. 5 and Sunday, Nov. 6 in Milwaukee will draw more than 4,000 runners to the multi-day event.

On Nov. 5, more than 400 participants are expected to run in the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Mile, a one-mile run on the grounds of the Harley-Davidson Museum at 9:30 a.m.

The Milwaukee Running Festival also features a Health & Fitness Expo/Packet Pickup with food, vendors and kids’ events. The expo runs from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

On Nov. 6, runners from 42 states are expected to participate in one of three events: the Marquette University 5K Run (which starts at 7:15 a.m.), the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Half Marathon or Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Marathon, starting and ending at Veteran’s Park at 7 a.m. The full marathon is expected to draw 1,000 participants, and the half 2,000 participants.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Marathon is routed entirely through Milwaukee’s neighborhoods and landmarks, allowing participants to experience the city in a unique way. New in 2016 are a series of parties along the race course, many featuring live music and refreshments. The 12+ party locations will provide runners extra motivation and spectators an easy viewing area, with the main goal of involving Milwaukee neighborhoods, making them feel like they are part of the event.

PNC Bank is the title sponsor for the entire event. For more information on the PNC Milwaukee Running Festival, visit milwaukeerunningfestival.com.
