Ben Sheets will miss his next start, which was scheduled for Wednesday against Philadelphia, as he continues to work through a strained right triceps.
Sheets left his last start after five innings Saturday in Cincinnati. He began feeling tightness a few days earlier and tried to pitch through it.
Dave Bush, who was skipped in the rotation Sunday in favor of Yovani Gallardo, will take the mound against the Phillies in place of Sheets.
Sheets won't be placed on the disabled list, which means the Brewers will keep the 14 pitchers currently on their roster.
