Just two weeks and three exhibition games into camp, the Bucks have suffered their second major injury.
First, Andrew Bogut went out with a lower left leg injury. Now, it's Bobby Simmons who is sidelined.
Simmons has a stress reaction in his right heel, a condition disclosed during an examination by a foot and ankle specialist Friday in Charlotte. The Bucks said Saturday that it will be at least a month before Simmons can resume basketball activities.
He is expected to be out at least a month.
Ruben Patterson will likely start in Simmons' place as the Bucks' small forward. Rookie David Noel also could see time in that position.
