Some of the finest women's basketball teams in the country will converge on the Al McGuire Center this weekend when Marquette University plays host to the 2008 WBCA Classic.

Along with head coach Terri Mitchell's Golden Eagles, Utah, Gonzaga and Virginia round out the field for the three-day, round-robin format tournament.

Virginia comes to Milwaukee ranked No. 16 in the latest Associated Press Top 25. The Golden Eagles just missed the cut, earning 29 votes while Gonzaga and Utah each recieved three votes.

Marquette improved to 4-0 on the season with an 89-58 victory over Western Michigan Sunday afternoon. Four Golden Eagles have a double-digit scoring average, led by senior Krystal Ellis' 13.5 points per game.

Marquette is 0-2 all-time against Virginia and 1-1 against Gonzaga. The Sunday meeting with Utah will be the first matchup in program history between the two teams.

Tickets are $10 per day for reserved seats and just $6 for general admission. One ticket is good for both games each day.
