CROSS COUNTRY SKIING/SNOWSHOEING
There are literally hundreds of places to cross country ski in Milwaukee County and southeastern Wisconsin, but we'll give you the slightly abridged list here. All Milwaukee County parks allow free cross country skiing. Trails are open from dawn until 10 p.m.

You forgot about another Wisconsin tradition - hunting. Now is the best time to scout your hunting area and if you meet a bunny you can bring home some meet too.

Tyrol Basin, just west of Madison, should also make the list. It isn't as far as Cascade or Devil's Head and it just about as nice.
