The Wisconsin Golden Gloves is holding its final segment of the Wisconsin Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions on April 20, in Racine.

The tournament is required to have a doctor to perform pre-match physicals and to be ringside through the show but the doctor originally in place will not be able to attend. The Wisconsin Golden Gloves board of directors has been working diligently to get a doctor for our event to no avail. It seems there is some training session this weekend for area doctors making it difficult for them to attend.

If the tournament does not have a doctor the tournament will not be completed and all of the young boxers that have competed to this point will not be able to move onto the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions in Salt Lake City in May.
