Milwaukee Free to Breathe Run/Walk

You can become a lung cancer hero! Fundraise and register to walk or run with hundreds of community members as they gather at the Milwaukee Free to Breathe Run/Walk October 8th at Veterans Park in Milwaukee. The inspirational day will include a 5K run/walk or a 1-mile walk, along with family friendly activities, a local DJ and silent auction. All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a nonprofit lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring surviving lung cancer is the expectation, not the exception. Help us double lung cancer survival by 2022! To register and begin fundraising, visit freetobreathe.org. 8:00 a.m. – Registration and check-in 9:15 a.m. – Opening Rally 9:30.m. – Warm-up and 1-mile walk start 9:40 a.m. – 5K run and walk start 10:50 a.m. – Silent auction closes 11:00 a.m. – Closing Rally Register: Online (closes October 5th $25 / $15* Mail-In (must be received by October 3rd $28 / $18* Event Day (beginning at 8:00 a.m.): $30 / $20* *Youth ages 12 & under

Halloween Hustle 5K and Kid’s Dash

Grab your friends, your family, and your favorite Halloween costume and register now to participate in the 1st annual Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run and Kid’s Dash. This family-friendly event is set for Sunday, October 30 at Milwaukee’s scenic Veterans Park. All adult 5K runners and walkers will receive a long-sleeved dri-fit shirt, and finisher medals will be given to those who complete the course. Included in the registration fee, Kid’s Dash participants will receive a cotton youth t-shirt, race bib, trick-or-treat bag and a pumpkin at the finish line. Following the event, racers can view finish times; additionally, awards will be given to the top placers in all age and male/female divisions, in addition to the best individual and group costume at the after party. Event proceeds will benefit Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, a non-profit dedicated to community improvement projects and environmental education programs. To learn more, visit KGMB.org.
