Walk 4 Hearing Fundraiser

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is hosting a Walk4Hearing fundraiser Saturday, May 30 at Veteran’s Park in Milwaukee at 10 a.m. HLAA’s Walk4Hearing fundraiser is the largest walk of its kind taking place in multiple cities nationwide. Every spring and fall thousands of people form walk in their communities to increase public awareness about hearing loss prevention and raise funds for programs and services that help improve the hearing health of adults and children.

Big Gay 5K

Join the 4th Annual Big Gay 5K in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront on Thursday, June 4, 2015, to raise money for the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. Registration is $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event. Registration opens at 5:00 pm in Veterans Park near the kite stand, and the race starts at 6:30 pm. FARE Walk for Food Allergy - Milwaukee

Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) works on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. Food allergies affect approximately 1 in 13 children – roughly two in every classroom. FARE’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies, and to provide them hope through the promise of new treatments. The 2015 FARE Walk for Food Allergy - Milwaukee will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Veterans Park, 1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. This family-focused walk offers a fun, allergy-friendly activity for the food allergy community. Walkers raise funds to support FARE’s mission and to increase awareness about the issue of food allergies. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Register today at www.foodallergywalk.org/milwaukee2015, and help us say FAREwell to Food Allergies!

SUP YOGA Summer Series

SUP Yoga Summer Series with Erin Highland Tuesdays 6:30 -7:45 p.m. at Veterans Park.  June 16th - August 18th Take your yoga practice off the mat and on to the water with SUP YOGA! 5th Annual Milwaukee Justice Center Run/Walk for Justice (5K run/1 mile walk)

Fundraiser for the Milwaukee Justice Center, a private/public partnership to help bridge the gap in access to justice within our community. 5K Run follows a USATF-certified course along the Lakefront at Veterans Park, with a 1-mile walk/Kids’ Run.
