104. Cold beer running
If you'd asked me a year ago what the first thought that popped into my head when someone mentioned "beer run," my response would definitely not be 13.1 miles. However, today that's my only thought.  Over the weekend, I accomplished a fitness goal I never dreamed imaginable or ever really had in mind as an obtainable goal.
105. Packers, Milwaukee County Parks, team up for playground equipment
The Green Bay Packers and NFL are giving a donation for a new playground at Smith Park through a partnership between the Milwaukee County Parks, United Way, the Packers and the NFL.

110. Stepping up to the Lakefront Marathon challenge
It's 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7 and there's a buzz inside Grafton High School. The dimly lit hallways are packed, and it was clear these people weren't students. They were runners warming up before heading outside to find their spots at the starting line for the 2012 Lakefront Marathon. And I was one of them.

Sylvester Sims, local African-American boxing legend and one of Milwaukee's foremost artists, died Saturday at his Northwest Side home. He was 83.
112. Look on the "blonde" side
I don't usually go for blondes. And I really don't watch football. (Silence your gasps.) But, a flaxen-haired Adonis has captured my interest and is keeping my bottom glued to the couch during Packer games.
113. Green Bay Packers react to Monday Night Football loss
Members of the Green Bay Packers took to Twitter after their stunning loss against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Check out what they had to say and tell us what you think!
114. Boxing champ Fred "The People's Choice" Radmer dead
When the fatal 10 count in store for all of us tolls over a boxing champion, the custom is to clang the ringside bell at the next fight card 10 times in honor of the departed. Since boxing in Milwaukee is pretty much dead itself nowadays, fight fans and everyone who admires a never-say-die spirit ought to bang a pot or ring the doorbell 10 times for Fred "The People's Choice" Radmer, who passed away Tuesday at 62.

117. Let Bucky sell beer
Want to drive revenue, UW? How about cut down on public drunkeness and hopefully better control under age drinking? I say serve beer at Camp Randall.
118. Back to Lambeau
This afternoon, I'm heading up to Green Bay for tonight's Packers game. I'm going as a fan, not as a working journalist, because my friend Eron won a raffle for two tickets and a bus ride to and from Lambeau Field. I realize now that it's been about 10 years since my last Packers game at The Frozen Tundra. It was a Lions game in 2002, I think, and the stadium was in the middle of renovation.

125. Calling the final round
On April 24, 1953, a national television audience viewing a world lightweight championship fight in Boston was disgusted when challenger Tommy Collins was knocked down 10 times by champion Jimmy Carter before referee Tommy Rawson got around to stopping the mismatch in the fourth round. Just 10 days later, a well-known Milwaukee referee was driven out of boxing by fans and reporters who thought he stopped a fight too soon.
