Summer on Milwaukee's lakefront officially opens on May 22 with the re-opening of Bradford Beach, its beach house, beach hut and the Bradford Beach AVPNext Beach Volleyball Series tournament.

This is the third season of the "new" Bradford Beach and this year will bring several new events and a new on site manager, Liz Pawlenty.

New events include the Bradford Beach AVPNext Beach Volleyball Series tournament (May 22-23), beach volleyball leagues, the return of AVP Pro Beach Volleyball (July 10), the Fresh Coach Volleyball Challenge (Aug. 21), the Sands and Bands Endless Summer Beach Party (Sept. 18), several beach cleaning days and an Oct. 2 volleyball series.

Hi-Hat Lounge and Garage is back this season with food and drink service and, once again, OnMilwaukee.com is a proud sponsor at the beach.
