Trolleys are an easy way to get around Downtown.

Downtown Milwaukee Trolley Loop returns May 30

The Milwaukee Trolley Loop will return this summer thanks to a presenting sponsorship by VISIT Milwaukee.

The familiar "clang, clang" in greater Downtown will be heard Wednesdays-Saturdays, May 30-Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Rides are only $1 per person, round trip.

With stops in Westown, East Town and the Historic Third Ward, the trolleys are a great way to get around Downtown. Stops are serviced every 20 minutes with two trolleys. One complete loop takes 40 minutes.

I`ve said this before, but I like the Grand Avenue Mall. It`s an easy lunch destination for Downtown workers, and it still has a lot of unrealized potential. It saddens me that most have written it off for dead, and I wish the City or the owners would provide a serious incentive for a few major anchor stores to come and stay for a while.
