The Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront (previously the Milwaukee River Hilton) hosted its grand opening celebration on Thursday, June 25.

The event marked the formal unveiling of an extensive $8 million dollar renovation of the hotel at 4700 N. Port Washington Rd. Improvements include an expanded lobby and new bar area featuring views of the Milwaukee River, along with updates to the 160 guest rooms on premise. The ballroom and meeting spaces were also updated.

The hotel’s Anchorage Restaurant also saw updates, with the roll out of a menu featuring seafood as well as additional contemporary offerings including nightly chef's specials, Allen Brothers Steaks, and select chopsThe restaurant patio, open during the summer, also features panoramic views of the river.

The hotel is managed by Greenbelt, Maryland-based Chesapeake Hospitality, one of the country’s fastest growing third party management companies.
