Milwaukeeans don't have to travel far for a luxurious getaway. TripAdvisor's 10th annual Travelers' Choice Awards named The Pfister Hotel one of the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the U.S.

The Pfister placed 13th on this year's list. The ranking is compiled from reviews and opinions of millions of travelers from around the world.

TripAdvisor's recognition is one of many for the Milwaukee hotel, which has received AAA Four Diamond status for 36 consecutive years, making it one of only 14 hotels in the country to receive the designation every year since it began in 1977.

Cambria Suites in Madison landed on the site's "Top 25 Bargain Hotels" list, while the Aloft Milwaukee Downtown notched the No. 8 spot on the "Top 25 Trendiest Hotels in the United States" list.
