Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1961 shortly after his death, this church was designated a National Landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Wright took two elements of that tradition -- the dome and the Greek cross -- and merged them in this unusual building with lovely stained glass windows (not by Wright, but rather by a New Berlin-based studio) and a circular balcony.
The annual Greek festival once held on the grounds has since moved to State Fair Park.
