The Milwaukee County Zoo is considered among the finest in the country. It is situated on 200 wooded acres and is home to approximately 2,500 animals, representing 300 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates.

The Milwaukee County Zoo hosts more than 20 special events each year including celebrations at Easter, Halloween and the holiday season.

Open 365 days a year, the Zoo is not be be missed, it's the wildest place in town!

Snooze at the Zoo

Share the night sky with a wild bunch! This special event is presented by the Zoological Society and offers a safe, fun, educational overnight family camping experience. Choose a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night stay. Activities include a picnic buffet dinner on the shore of Lake Evinrude, a campfire sing-along and s'mores, an overnight camp-out, and a continental breakfast followed by a day at the Zoo.

Playhouse Raffle

Zoological Society Playhouse Raffle Sponsored by Northwestern Mutual Foundation Playhouses. Ticket prices are $3 for one, $5 for two, $10 for five, $20 for 15; buy 50 or more tickets, and they’re $1 each. Adults can sample wines at the Giraffe Village Wine Tent, while families will love face-painting, clowns and games at the Northwestern Mutual Family Farm. Enjoy live rock and jazz music every night on six stages throughout the Zoo.
