It's Giving Tuesday, and Milwaukee Film was kind enough to give everyone in Milwaukee something to look forward to next year, as today they announced official dates for the 2020 Milwaukee Film Festival: Oct. 15-29.

"After a record-breaking year for our festival, we’re already so excited to get started on 2020," said Jonathan Jackson, CEO and artistic director for Milwaukee Film, in a release. "Our festival is the largest arts event in our community, and even though we’re still recovering from this year’s amazing festival, you better believe we’re already planning for next year."

The search for submissions will begin in early 2020, and the full list of venues will be announced in the summer, but the important thing to know for now is don't book anything for late October.

Plus, as a special actual Giving Tuesday bonus, Milwaukee is offering $15 off any regularly priced Festival Fan, Film Lover or Movie Star level membership, whether you're gifting a membership or renewing one. For more information on the benefits of becoming a member or on how to gift the special cinephile in your life with a membership, visit Milwaukee Film's website.

And only 317 days until the next Milwaukee Film Festival! (Why yes, we've already begun the countdown.)

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
