The Brewers sold their 2 millionth ticket of the season this morning, the second-earleist date for that milestone in franchise history.

Last year, the Brewers hit the 2 million mark on July 5. The earliest the team hit the mark was April 19, 2001, the first year the team played at Miller Park.

"We are experiencing excellent advance sales for games throughout the rest of the year and expect to continue building on this momentum during the summer," Brewers executive vice president for business operations Rick Schlesinger said.

Through 24 home games, the Brewers are averaging 31,044 fans, up from 23,745 in the similar period a year ago. That represents an increase of 31 percent over last season, the third-best mark among all Major League teams.
