Today literally marked the last day of summer for the year, but what better way to savor the final leftover scraps of sunny fun than gathering up your entire family – those on two legs and four – for Fromm Petfest down at Henry Maier Festival Bark Park.

The furry festivities begin at 10 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. – with free admission and free parking. Scattered across the grounds will be fun activities for puppers, doggos, kittens and all of your four-legged friends, such as the lure course, costume contests, "Kitty City," a doggie dash sprint challenge, live music and dog dock diving. We got a early peak at that last attraction Friday afternoon as dogs both amateur and expert took to the sky and made a splash.

So make like these dogs and fly over to Fromm Petfest on Saturday. It promises to be quite the paw-ty. (We apologize.)

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
