My son Kai and I represented OnMilwaukee.com in the St. Patrick's Day Parade Downtown this afternoon. It was the first time we were in a parade, and we both found it quite fun.

For me, the best part was hearing the "Yay, OMC!" shout-outs. It was also nice to tool around in a luxurious convertible Saab, especially considering it was almost 50 degrees and sunny.

My 4-year-old son, donning a sparkly green leprechaun hat, loved throwing hand-fulls of Tootsie Rolls to the parade watchers and waving. He even blew a few kisses and shouted "OnMilwaukee.com!" I hope he remembers this experience as an adult.

During the parade, we spontaneously picked up my mother and let her ride with us in the backseat of the car. She thought it was a pretty cool experience and at one point called her boyfriend to say, "You'll never guess where I am right now..."
