The building that formerly housed The Little Whiskey Bar will soon be occupied by The Heliodore, 309 W. National Ave.

According to a sign in the window, The Heliodore LLC applied for a class B Tavern and Public Entertainment Premises license. JB Lathers, the building owner and co-operator of the bar, says they are hoping to open this spring, but an exact date has not been determined.

"The Heliodore will be a very low key bar and cocktail lounge with craft cocktails and beer, craft cocktail classes, a couple dartboards and some TVs throughout for watching games," says Lathers.

Lathers says there will also be a small patio on the west side of the building.
