Best Milwaukee drink, 2016

"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee is back for another round, brought to you by Great Northern Distilling: grain to glass spirits, handmade in Wisconsin. The whole month of March, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun articles on bars and clubs – including guides, the latest trends, bar reviews, the results of our Best of Bars readers poll and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

We've spent a lot of time this Bar Month listing off your picks for your favorite Milwaukee bars. It only seems fair, though, that we hand out an award for your favorite Milwaukee drink served up in those favorite Milwaukee bars as well. So, for this year's edition of the Bar Month poll, we added the new category of best Milwaukee drink, and the inaugural winner is the Bloody Mary served up at The Wicked Hop.

Though it finished in second place in the hotly contested best Bloody Mary category, when it comes to readers' favorite Milwaukee drink overall, The Wicked Hop's Bloody Mary is a first place beverage. Maybe it's the Bloody Mary itself. Maybe it's the garnishes, namely the mozzarella whips festooning the top of the drink.

No matter your favorite part, together they create your favorite Milwaukee drink, scoring well ahead of two Old Fashioned recipes – one from Packing house, the OnMilwaukee editors' pick, and one from Burnhearts – a Camp Bar drink with Milwaukee right in the name and Spy's Demise from Safe House.

OnMilwaukee editors' pick: Old Fashioned from Packing House

Runners-up:
2. Old Fashioned from Packing House
3. Mittenfest Korbel Old Fashioned from Burnhearts
4. Milwaukee Mule from Camp Bar
5. Spy's Demise from Safe House
