Apparently, Milwaukeeans are dying for a place to hide out. The Safe House, 779 N. Front St., flew past the competition and was named Best Theme Bar by OnMilwaukee.com readers.

The 43-year-old bar and restaurant features a trick entrance requiring a password, a cloak-and-dagger room and a menu featuring clandestine cuisine like the spy burger and a Bond's Bomb dessert. The bar features concoctions like the Spy's Demise, served in a Safe House pint glass.

The old school Milwaukee-themed Bomb Shelter came in second place. The décor is a tribute to the days when Milwaukee ruled the brewing industry.
