"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee is brought to you by Miller Brewing Company, calling Milwaukee home since 1855. For the entire month of March, we're serving up fun articles on bars, clubs and beverages – including guides, the latest trends, bar reviews, the results of our Best of Bars poll and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

According to a statement released by owner Jim Baade, Rascal's On Murray will close for good on Saturday, April 1. (No, it's not a joke.) A retirement party will be held that evening – more details to come about that, soon.

"Thank you, Milwaukee," Baade wrote in his statement. "After 19 incredible years, we would like to announce that Rascal's on Murray will be going into retirement at the end of this month. It's been one hell of a ride and we can't put into word how thankful we are to everyone who has joined us along the way."

Baade also owns Duke's On Water, 158 N. Juneau Ave., and Scooter's Pub, 154 E. Juneau Ave., with  Andrea Shafton. Both establishments will remain open.

OnMilwaukee last reported on Rascal's in 2016, when the bar prohibited bar dice. For two days.
