There’s a new way to get to know Brew City.
Hop Head Tours, a touring company that made its name in Madison, will officially launch its Milwaukee presence this weekend with an inaugural bus tour on Friday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
And you don't need to be a "hop head" to enjoy what they're laying down.
The "Beer Titans" tour begins at Lakefront Brewery and showcases Milwaukee’s rich German brewing heritage through historical discussion and stops at venues including Best Place at Pabst and Miller-Coors for their tours and beer, as well as a visit to Brown Bottle Bar and Restaurant at Schlitz Park. The tour is $55 and includes tours, tastings and plenty of beer samples.
A $65 "Suds and Spirits" tour begins at Lakefront Brewery with stops at Milwaukee Ale House Milwaukee Ale House, a cocktail, tour and tasting at Great Lakes Distillery and a trip to Brenner Brewing Company in Walker’s Point.
If you’d prefer to burn off a few of your beers while touring, there’s also a "Milwaukee Historic Brewery Bike Tour," which takes place on the second Saturday of each month during the months of May through October.
This urban cycling tour including stops at the Schlitz, Blatz, Pabst and Miller Breweries, along with beer sampling and an opportunity for lunch at Milwaukee Ale House. A ride past the Summerfest grounds and Milwaukee Art Museum culminates in a tour of Lakefront Brewery. Tickets are $50 if you bring your own bike and $76 with a bike rental.
