Drinking during the day is an indulgent activity. Whether it's a Bloody Mary at brunch or a few beers while watching a game, it usually affects the rest of the day and night.

OnMilwaukee.com checked in with the Social Circle this week and asked their thoughts on day drinking. As usual, the responses varied. Add your opinion of daytime consumption via the Talkback feature.

Richard Ahlstrom: "It's the only way to party."

Marino Baca: "Better than night drinking."

Kim Bollmann: "Start early. End early. My fave is a Sunday Funday – but not every week. And an occasional day off day drinking (Opening Day, St. Pat's, etc.). Love it."

Beth Braun: "Need to have caffeine simultaneously."

Ellie Martin Cliffe: "It might be considered an art. If you do it wrong, you'll be ready for bed by 3 p.m."

Emily Dunn: "Somehow, I got too old to enjoy it."

Russ Fascia: "Rarely. Guinness, if I do."

Brandy Glass-Lucchesi: "When I did, I did. But after a while, day or night – it didn't matter."

Erin Shea Linnane: "With a cheap, extended happy hour, day drinking at Rascal's is always a wallet's best friend. Also, to me, margaritas taste better during the day, outside on a patio, in the sun."

Julie J. Mayhew: "Love it! Early to bed afterwards."

Dave Mikolajek: "Like the Run DMC single sings, 'It's tricky tricky tricky tricky huh!'"

Sandy Oliver: "An occasional Bloody Mary during brunch, but otherwise, it's just not OK. Even in Milwaukee."

Mark Paar: "What a bunch of lightweights."

Justin Ritter: "You can't be drunk all day if you don't start in the morning! Not that I condone that sort of thing, of course."

Julie Ruplinger: "Fun every once in a while on a weekend, but it's truly exhausting."

Scott Sebastian: "Who determined the 'proper' time to drink?"

Jen Skladanek: "I enjoy some day drinking on the weekends. Sunday Funday! Summertime bike rides to the beach, bar hopping and / or a Bloody Mary on a chilly Sunday afternoon to warm ya up. Home before 5 p.m., make dinner and the next day isn't ruined with a hangover."

Scott L. Smith: "Can't drink all day unless you start in the morning."

David Strong: "Before I had kids I loved day drinking. Now it's pretty impossible. I miss being able to do that."

Helena Tinka Radke: "Sunday Funday! Especially in summer."

Carrie Wisniewski: "Can't lie. I do. But generally on Saturday or Sunday only. Too much to do during the week. There's something mischievous about it. Yet, you can convince yourself you're being responsible by 'getting home and to bed early.'"

Patty Zatty Zastrow-Jankowski: "Very rarely, like I'd have to be on vacation or something but I love it! It's like you're skipping school or doing something wrong. But then I fade early and have to take a nap."
