Do you know a Milwaukee All-Star? Let us know!

Milwaukee All-Star: Audio / video master Henry Huggins

Every week in 2015, and local design company Too Much Metal join forces to introduce the latest member of the Milwaukee All-Stars – a team of unfamiliar winners living in the city who consistently and diligently make it shine. Each week, a new member will join the team – based on your recommendations – and at the end of the year all will come together in a Rally of the Raddest Milwaukeeans. We're not sure what that means quite yet, so for now, meet …

Henry Huggins

Henry Huggins has worked in audio and video for about 20 years. He currently works for Elite Audio & Video providing sound and lighting for performances in bars, clubs and home theaters.

"Working as a union stage hand is one of the things I love the most," he says. "I love my work because I'm always moving around and I get to be a part of building or making things happen."

Huggins, a graduate of Vincent High School, puts his heart into everything he does, both work and play, which landed him the Milwaukee All-Star spot this week. / Too Much Metal: What's your favorite time of year in Milwaukee?

Henry Huggins: My favorite time of year is spring and summer because I love to ride my mountain bike. And I love the celebration of cultures, meaning all the great festivals.

OMC / TMM: What's your most or least favorite Milwaukee smell?

HH: My favorite smell is the taco trucks around lunch time.

OMC / TMM: What is your hope for the city?

HH: My hope for this city is that we only get stronger as a city and to someday kick this silly violence kick we're on. One can only hope.

OMC / TMM: What's your guilty pleasure?

HH: My guilty pleasure would be beer. I love really good beers.

OMC / TMM: If you could high five one Milwaukeean, whom would it be?

HH: A Milwaukeean I would like to high five would be Reginald Baylor. Love his art and his personality.

OMC / TMM : What neighborhood do you live in?

HH: Washington Heights. Another great neighborhood in this city.

OMC / TMM: When and how did you fall in love with Milwaukee?

HH: I really didn't fall in love with Milwaukee until I moved to the East Side around 1994 and started to experience and meet all kinds of personalities. And I like meeting new and different people, because if we were all the same the planet would be hella lame.

Do you know a Milwaukee All-Star? and Too Much Metal are looking for true-hearted folks living in the city of Milwaukee who love what they do – and do it with zest and style. Email or with recommendations.
