The Northwestern Mutual Foundation has announced plans to contribute $450,000 to help seven Milwaukee-area non-profits promote their unique program offerings.

The foundation, the largest corporate giver in the state of Wisconsin, hopes the money will further the non-profits' commitment to shaping Milwaukee's cultural experience.

Grants will be awarded to the Milwaukee Art Museum,  Brewers Community Foundation, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee Public Museum, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., Milwaukee Zoological Society and Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.
