"The Godfather of Green Bay" "-- The new NFL season is upon us. There is no better way to prepare than by renting or buying Pete Schwaba's fantastic comedy. The Packers fan mentality in the film is realistic and perfectly portrayed. At the tavern and across the town, the locals are obsessed with the Packers in a loving, almost frightening manner. From random shouts of "Da Bears suck," to references about Lombardi, the Packers are life in "The Godfather of Green Bay." Add the BoDeans soundtrack and this flick is all Wisconsin, all the time. Buy it, rent it or check out the movie's Web site.  -- Jeff Sherman

Pro Football Weekly -- If you watch Jeff Sherman's movie recommendation and still find yourself jonesing for pro pigskin, pick this publication up at the newsstand or check out profootballweekly.com. Intelligent analysis without the Bermanesque bombast. It's where sportswriters go for inside info. -- Drew Olson

Taqueria Tepechy -- I admit, I was skeptical of the Mexican food truck parked on Holton Street just outside Lena's. I probably wouldn't have stopped off on my own for a quick bite, but my son asked me three times if we could eat there after seeing it on our way to The Outpost. I finally agreed and was glad I did. We had chicken tacos and, on another visit, a burrito. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is tender and spicy (albeit greasy), and most importantly, the inside of the truck is surprisingly clean. Next time, I'm trying the torta. -- Molly Snyder Edler

Point Honey Light -- I like beer and I like honey. Blend them and it's quite tasty. Point's Honey Light is a 125-calorie light beer made with a blend of select barley malts and 100 percent Wisconsin honey. Try it. It's good stuff. -- J.S.

Tofutti Cuties -- Someone was thinking on the job with these babies. They're delicious and just the right size. About half the size of a regular ice-cream sandwich, this one's got the same spongy chocolate wafers, but dairy-free ice-cream on the inside which tastes a lot like its full-on dairy counterpart. Don't let the "tofu" part of the word scare you. - M.E.

Dropkick Murphys "Live on St. Patrick's Day" -- All the talk about Irish Fest last month got me in the mood to kick it with the Dropkicks. This 5-year-old CD, recorded at the Avalon Ballroom in the band's hometown of Boston, is a jolt of righteous Celtic punk. Maybe if the Ramones had formed in Dublin instead of Queens, this is what they'd have sounded like. -- D.O.

Wollersheim Winery's Prairie Fume -- The white wine summer season is waning, but this wine from Prairie du Sac, Wis., is my beverage du jour. Semi-dry, floral, slightly citrus-y and just sweet enough, this is a lovely glass of wine -- but make sure it's ice cold. -- M.E.

Check out a high school football game -- Before it gets too cold, rainy or close to Thanksgiving, head down to the nearest high school stadium and watch a game. It's cheap. It's entertaining. And, it will make you feel connected to the community. -- D.O.

Printer transfer paper -- Find an image online, print it on transfer paper (with the image reversed!) and -- voila -- you can finally rock that T-shirt you've always wanted. Whether it's the menacing Sleestak from "The Land of the Lost" or an action shot of your favorite sports star, any T-shirt is possible with this cheap and easy-to-use paper. I just made one with an image of Betty Page in a cowgirl get-up and it's extraordinarily awesome. You can get transfer paper at Michael's or Wal-Mart, but there are a few different kinds so read the package. -- M.E.
