Anna-Marie Opgenorth will leave her post as executive director of Historic Milwaukee, Inc. at the end of August.

"My enthusiasm and care for HMI and everyone I've worked with only continues to increase and as long as I am in Milwaukee I'll do whatever I can in support of the organization's mission," she wrote in an email this morning to members of Historic Milwaukee.

"Over the next couple of months I will do everything I can to set the stage for the next executive director to continue on this path by focusing on development for our largest event, Doors Open Milwaukee, and by making sure the transition within the office is as easy as possible."

The next Doors Open Milwaukee will take place Sept. 21-22.
