Paradise Landing, the 20,000-square foot water park in the Hilton Milwaukee City Center at 509 W. Wisconsin Ave., is closing March 3.

"While we have seen great success with the concept over the years, we are currently at a point in which we think the significant amount of space could be repurposed in a more beneficial way for our guests," reads a posting on the Hilton's website.

"We will detail our exciting plans for the waterpark space in the very near future."

Paradise Landing opened in 2000 and was the country's first indoor urban waterpark.

All packages booked through March 3 are being honored, and new packages are being accepted for booking through that date.
