The Washington Post discovers Brew City
This week in its regular "You're Going Where?" feature, The Washington Post made a stop in Milwaukee.
The monthly series has hit places like Ann Arbor, Columbus, Omaha and Scottsdale, Arizona, among others.
For this month's installment, the Post sent Chicago-based writer Kate Silver to catalog the city's charms. The article is a pretty long one, but it probably was fairly easy for Silver, who writes that she's a regular visitor.
"My husband and I love making weekend trips here from our home in Chicago. It's small enough that it's easy to get around and feels safe, but big enough that we discover a new neighborhood, quirky shop, restaurant or bar every visit."
So what is it about Milwaukee that Silver likes?

There's The Vanguard and Leon's; Braise and Benelux.
"There's always something to celebrate in Milwaukee," Silver writes. "Really, any occasion is good there to pack the flask and break out the party gear."
