For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

Hooligan's four-year grasp on the title of Milwaukee's best bar food came to an end last year as Cafe Hollander became your choice for the city's best bar fare. This year, you re-affirmed that pick, giving Cafe Hollander the title once more.

The area's two Hollander locations, in the Tosa Village and Downer Avenue on the the East Side, have been making their way up the list for years and we're pretty sure the frites – especially the sweet potato variety – have something to do with the vote totals. And the patios are nothing to sneeze at, either.

It's not just quick dishes that set Hollander apart. You'll find a good selection of burgers and "eggs all day" on the menu, as well as a popular Sunday brunch.

And of course, don't forget to wash it down with a cold beer. As the Cafe Hollander menu will tell you: bier + food = bliss.

As always, the staff on OnMilwaukee.com professes its love for Palomino in Bay View, where comfort food reigns supreme.
