The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2010. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

Last year, then-repeat winner Trocadero beat second-place Comet for the title by a 2 percent margin. But Comet fans turned up the heat and bumped the competition down a notch by slightly more than that -- a 2.5 percent margin -- to take the top spot for Milwaukee's best brunch.

Comet is by now an East Side institution serving up hearty and delicious brunches for the neighborhood faithful. The chow and the personality here has even lured celebrity chefs like Guy Fieri to Comet in recent months.

Of course, Trocadero remains a formidable foe with its great patio and in-demand Bloody Marys.

This category is an especially interesting one in that three restaurants -- Lake Park Bistro, Roots and The Buffet at Potawatomi Bingo Casino were added to the list by the many fans who wrote them in using the "other" option.

What does this all mean? Milwaukee dishes up a mean brunch.
