For the eighth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Locavore, the newest restaurant at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2014."

Some things simply never change. Once again, Milwaukee coffee lovers selected Colectivo as the city's best coffee shops / cafes in our annual Best of Dining readers' poll.

Not only that, but Colectivo widened its lead. Last year, the local chain garnered nearly 30 percent of the ballots cast, but this year, it notched up to less than a percentage point below a solid one-third of the total vote.

Interestingly, Anodyne, which finished fourth last year, leaped up to second place, best last year's second-place finisher, Stone Creek, by 2.5 percentage points.

Colectivo’s most famous location, on the lakefront at 1701 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr., is a prime example of the many cafés around the city – cozy (yet big enough to handle massive morning and afternoon rushes), identifiable, accessible and friendly.

Serving the Cream City for 20 years, Colectivo has proven yet again to not only be the readers' choice for as the best coffee shop/café in Milwaukee, but ours, too.
