The Cheesecake Factory in Glendale, 5799 N. Bayshore Dr., nabbed the top spot in this year's Best Restaurant: Northern Suburbs category.
Shorewood's North Star American Bistro, 4518 N. Oakland Ave., came in second place.
The Cheesecake Factory is known for its massive menu of more than 200 menu items and its generous portions. Hence the name, it's also quite famous for its cheesecake offerings from the original creamy cheesecake with a graham-cracker-and-sour-cream topping to more adventuresome slices like the white chocolate caramel macadamia nut or the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake.
The OnMilwaukee.com editors picked Three Lions, 4515 N. Oakland Ave., for its consistently good British fare such as fish and chips, bangers and mash and shepherd's pie.

It certainly isn't a bad place but best in the North Shore? Wow - people are lowering their standards or have absolutely no appreciation for really good food.
This is yet again another reminder that while everyone does indeed have an opinion, it's not guaranteed to be useful.

Way to go North Shore, you know how to pick em. Maybe next year you can get your other hidden gem, the concession stand at North Shore Cinema, on the list. I heard they make a bucket of popcorn that will blow your mind.
I heard people were hospitialized hurting their brain deciding between this and pizza hut
