Milwaukee's best street food, 2011: Streetza
Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2011. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."
It seems like all of a sudden much of Milwaukee's most exciting food has wings ... or at least wheels.
OnMilwaukee.com readers have spoken, and for the second year in a row, they say that Streetza has Brew City's best street food.
Since summer 2009 the Streetza truck has tempted our taste buds with slices like "Wisconsin Stair Fair Chili," or "The Brew Crew Sausage Race," which piles all the Klement's racing sausages (yes, even hot dog) onto a blend on five cheeses. And at only $3.75 a slice, it's a Milwaukeean's dream come true.
We here at OnMilwaukee.com have a lot of Streetza love, but the quality, mouthwatering fusion food served up by Tiger Bite have captured our taste buds – and our vote.
OnMilwaukee.com editors' choice: Tiger Bite
2. Haute Taco
3. Pita Brothers
4. Tiger Bite
5. Satellite Crepes
6. Taqueria Arandas
7. Big Frank's Weiner Waggin
8. The Fast Foodie
9. Chubby Cheese Truck
10. American Euros
11. Miranda's Taco Truck
12. Red Truck Sliders
13. Papa Redd's BBQ
14. Hard Wood Cafe
15. Ofelia's Mexican Food Cart
Papa Redd's BBQ Is the best I've tasted, With even better Prices!!
Thank you again to all of the people in Milwaukee who voted for us. We're honored to be selected as the best street food again. We also liked that there were so many people competing for the title this year. It was great to see all of the new entrepreneurs that hit the streets this summer. Make sure to visit one of them, or us before the winter arrives. Thanks again Milwaukee. Streetza
