Oak Creek’s new Drexel Town Square development is filling up with delicious new tenants. Both Pizza Man and BelAir Cantina have already opened their doors, and within the next few months, Valentine’ Coffee will join them.

But the newest addition to the food and beverage line-up is a Downtown favorite: Cubanitas.

According to co-owner Marc Bianchini, who also owns Indulge with his wife Marta, a lease was signed today for a space in Drexel Town Square between Pizza Man and Bel Air Cantina.

"We’ve always been interested in growing Cubanitas," he says. "And we’ve been paying close attention to the new development in Oak Creek. We’re really excited about what’s going on there. And since we already draw a good customer base from the South Side, we’re sure this is going to be a great fit."

Bianchini says the Oak Creek Cubanitas will have a similar footprint to the Downtown location, offering about 70 seats for diners. The same goes for the menu, which will focus on the Cuban staples for which the restaurant has become known, including empanadas, roasted pork, ropa vieja and tostones.

Bianchini says he’s shooting to open the new location sometime in late spring.
