Three outstanding California wineries will be highlighted in an upcoming dinner at Potawatomi’s Dream Dance Steak.

The Premiere California Wine Dinner, to be held on Monday, June 23, beginning at 6 p.m., will feature sister wineries Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel, Enroute and Dolce with an exceptional five-course meal prepared by Chef Matt Baier.

Napa Valley’s Far Niente Winery was founded by John Benson in 1885 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The winery is 100 percent solar powered and produces Napa Valley estate bottled Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon wines that are renowned for their consistent house style and ability to evolve with extended age.

Sister property, Nickel & Nickel Winery was founded in 1997 and is located in Oakville, Napa Valley. The winery is known for its dedication to producing 100 percent varietal, single-vineyard wines that best express the distinct personality of each vineyard.

EnRoute was established in the Russian River Valley in 2007 by the partners of Napa Valley’s Far Niente winery. Devoted to producing Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, EnRoute introduced its first wine, "Les Pommiers," in May 2009, which is named for the apple orchards that once flourished in the region.

Menu items will include pancetta-wrapped halibut served with watermelon radish and micro greens, seared tuna with agrodolce, celery leaf salad and pasta frittata, and ostrich prepared with balsamic macerated cipollini onions, beet and arugula pierogies.

Featured wines will include Far Niente Chardonnay; EnRoute Chardonnay, Les Brumeux; EnRoute Pinot Noir, Les Pommiers; Nickel & Nickel Branding Iron Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon; Nickel & Nickel John C. Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon; Far Niente Cave Collection Cabernet; and Dolce.

Tickets for the Premiere California Wine Dinner are $150 plus gratuity. For more information or to make reservations, call Dream Dance Steak at (414) 847-7883 or online at paysbig.com/dining.
