Gilles Frozen Custard, 7515 W. Bluemound Rd., turns 70 this weekend.  It's celebrating on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. with charitable donations, customer appreciation raffles (you can win up to $1070), discounts, games, balloons, free popcorn and more.

According to Tom Linscott at Gilles, Gilles is Milwaukee’s oldest custard stand.  It  was founded in 1938 by Paul Gilles and sold to long-time manager Bob Linscott in 1978.  Linscott's son, Tom, is the current owner.
