Iron Horse Hotel will celebrate nine years with Burnout Bash on Sept. 15
It's been nine years since the Iron Horse Hotel, 500 W. Florida St., opened its doors to the public. In celebration, the boutique hotel will host a celebration on Friday, Sept. 15 beginning at 5 p.m..
Guests should come hungry, as there will be a variety of food options to enjoy. The Burnout Bash will feature a specially priced $9.99 all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring a whole spit-roasted Heritage pig, roasted steamship round and grilled spiced corn on the cob crafted by the hotel's Executive Chef Joshua Rogers.
Food trucks will also be at the ready, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Participating trucks include:
- Gouda Girls: They'll be offering up options from a classic grilled cheese and tomato soup, to a gut-busting Wisconsin-style cheesesteak.
- The Frying Dutchman: Choose from options including waffles, French fries and bitterballen.
- Wicked Urban Grill: They will come equipped with Wicked Pretzels as well as their Midnight Whiskey Omelet Bar featuring fresh eggs from their farm!
- Get Them While They're Hot Tamales: Choose from a variety of tamales with fillings including black beans and spinach, pork and more.
After 8 p.m., food will also be available for purchase from Smyth, The Yard and Branded.
Throughout the party, guests can quench their thirst with $9 specialty cocktails and $3 pours of New Glarus' Spotted Cow and Moon Man.
On the entertainment side, the Burnout Bash will feature live music from Milwaukee's own Katie Mack & The Moan from 6 to 10 p.m.
Following a brief address by Iron Horse Hotel owner Tim Dixon at 9 p.m., there will also be giveaways beginning at 9:09 p.m. and announced every 10 minutes until 9:59 p.m. Prizes include a weekend getaway at the Iron Horse Hotel, a complimentary meal for two at Smyth, a complimentary Taco Tuesday evening for two at The Yard and an overnight stay at The Charmant Hotel in La Crosse.
The Iron Horse bash is free and open to the public. Special Burnout Bash rates of $199 per night are also available to hotel guests through November, pending availability.
