Thanksgiving restaurant guide, 2017

Thanksgiving is a time to count your blessings, gather with the ones you love, watch the Macy's Day Parade ... and cook, cook, cook. But, here's a guide for those of you who would prefer to leave the cooking (and the cleaning) to someone else for a change. Keep in mind that reservations are generally recommended.

Alioto's

From 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the big day, you can enjoy a special holiday menu – including a traditional turkey dinner as well as steaks, chops and seafood.

Allgauer's in the Park

Come out for Allgauer's Thanksgiving brunch buffet beginning at 10 a.m. and running until 4 p.m. On the menu, you can find items like the traditional turkey, sweet potato salad and cranberry sauce.
The Buffet

The Buffet serves traditional favorites from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Stop by our local casino to enjoy sliced turkey, stuffing, roast beef and even more. The cost is $22 with a Fire Keeper's Club card and $24 without. Don't eat too much for dinner because there will also be a wide array of desserts, including pumpkin pie.

Eat something off The Capital Grill's normal menu or try the chef's take on Thanksgiving favorites – including turkey with brioche stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans with Marcona almonds and cranberry pear chutney. Starting at 11 a.m., you can leave the stress of Thanksgiving and come celebrate here. You can enjoy food from the full menu or you can check out the four-course menu with Thanksgiving favorites. Children under 12 can eat from a special Thanksgiving children's menu for $20.

The dinner buffet follows from 4 to 7 p.m., which will include a schnitzel and spaetzle station for $34.
