A new restaurant is in the works from the owners of Oscar’s Pub & Grill.

Elisabeth Stoeger and Oscar Castenada plan to open Oscar’s Winner’s Circle at 3800 W. Burnham St. in the former home of Winner’s Circle Bar.

Although the owners were unavailable for comment this morning, a licensure application filed with the City of Milwaukee indicates that the plan for the restaurant will include a variety of burgers, including a chicharron burger, a barbecue burger and an Oscar’s classic: the Big ‘O,’ which features chorizo, bacon, fried onions, jalapenos and chipotle jack and smoked gouda cheeses with a side of guacamole.

"It is our goal," the application states, "to create a returning customer base based on our great quality, generously portioned food at an affordable price."

Beyond burgers, a tentative menu also lists a variety of additional options including a barbecued pork sandwich and tacos. Weekend breakfast and brunch service is also planned, including breakfast burritos, omelets and breakfast skillets. Daily food and beverage specials are in the plan, as well as a Friday fish fry.

A full bar is also proposed, including 40 taps which will feature locally brewed craft beer.

According to the documents, Oscar’s Winner’s Circle is expected to open by August.

Proposed hours for the new restaurant are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
