So you're downtown for a night out with friends or family, maybe a game at the Bradley Center or a show at the Marcus Center, and you can't decide where to eat. Sound familiar? Well, you can't go wrong with pizza, and downtown has some of the best around.

Bucca di Beppo

http://www.bucadibeppo.com/
Buca's is Italian done family style.  Their large menu includes everything from ravioli and gnocchi to chicken marsala and veal parmigiana.  And thats not to mention the pizza.  Buca's offers a choice of six speciality pizzas incoporating italian meats, cheeses and traditional sauces.

Café Vecchio Mondo
1137 N. Old World Third St., (414) 273-5700
http://www.cafevecchio.com/
Thinner than thinner and tastier than you can imagine, these pizzas are made on large baked tortillas with amazing gourmet toppings. Try the barbeque chicken; "Mondo" with mozzarella and feta cheeses, spinach and artichokes; "Maui" with shrimp, pineapple, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and sun-dried tomatoes; "Meat Lovers;" or pesto with black olives, tomatoes and pine nuts.

Calderone Club
842 N. Old World Third St., (414) 273-3236
Their traditional thin crust Italian pizza has been the same original family recipe for more than 30 years. Pick your own toppings or try one of the delicious Calderone specialty pizzas. Delivery available from noon to 2 p.m. downtown.

Joey Buona's Pizzeria Grille
500 N. Water St., (414) 272-8662
www.joeybuonas.com
Their Chicago pan crust is completely original and to-die-for. Not your taste? Try the Neapolitan pizzas like the "Margherita" with fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella or the "Quatro Stagione" (it means four seasons) with four different topping combinations. Delivery available.

Louise's Italian Café
801 N. Jefferson St., (414) 273-4224
www.louiseswisconsin.com
Take a break from gallery browsing and shopping and try Louise's California pizzas made with special corn meal dough and a variety of non-traditional sauces and toppings. Indulge in flavors like fontina and Romano cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic chevre cheese, wood-roasted portabellas, zucchini and more. Delivery available.

Water Street Brewery
1101 N. Water St., (414) 272-1195

You can't beat these oven-baked masterpieces. The barbeque chicken is made with just the right mix of smoked Gouda and mozzarella cheeses, red onions, cilantro and, of course, chicken strips and barbecue sauce. My favorite is the portabella mushroom with roasted garlic, five cheeses, fresh basil and loads of mushrooms.
