The Simple Greek and Entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis announced this past week that they are bringing their new, fast casual restaurant concept, The Simple Greek, to 20 major metro markets, including Milwaukee.

Currently, The Simple Greek chain consists of four locations, three in the greater Pittsburgh, Pa. area and one in Highland Park, Ill. An additional 53 franchises are slated to open within the next few months in conjunction with the expansion.

"Coming from a Greek family, I am particularly excited to expand The Simple Greek dining experience across the country and give our customers convenient access to delicious and healthy food with reasonable prices," says Lemonis. "We look forward to meeting customers when we open our doors for the first time in each new city, and to have them sample our wonderful authentic food."

The Simple Greek was born when Pittsburgh chain, My Big Fat Greek Gyro, was featured on his hit CNBC reality series, "The Profit," a show on which Lemonis turns around struggling businesses and buys an ownership stake in the companies. As a result of the new partnership, the restaurants were re-branded as The Simple Greek featuring an open assembly line model for gyros, salads and plentiful sides.

The Simple Greek is building a reputation for premium ingredients, open kitchens and Greek atmosphere in a fast casual setting. Menus feature a variety of dishes, including build your own bowls, salads, pitas and Greek yogurt with a variety of proteins, toppings and sides.
