Looks like the ruckus is about to begin in Shorewood. The Ruckus is scheduled to open on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 4144 N. Oakland Ave.

The new fast casual restaurant from the owners of Colectivo will offer up a basic menu featuring burgers, Usinger's hot dogs and ice cream along with housemade churros served up fresh and hot with dipping sauces.

The menu features six signature burgers including classic single and doubles along with variations like the "Rizo" featuring a blended chorizo and beef patty topped with slaw, lettuce, tomato, salsa and house sauce ($6.5) and the "Rooster" chicken patty with slaw, lettuce, tomato and house sauce ($6.50). For vegetarians, Ruckus will also offer a housemade vegetarian soy-chorizo and black bean burger with slaw, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and house sauce ($7.50). All burgers will feature buns made by Colectivo’s Troubador Bakery.

Ice cream (chocolate, vanilla and swirl) will be available in cups and cones ($3.50) as well as incorporated into shakes and floats, including a nitro coffee float ($5). Rather than sundaes, Ruckus will serve Saturdaes featuring ice cream with a choice of toppings, including spiced fudge, salted caramel, peanut butter, pineapple chunks, strawberry, cinnamon-sugar, churro crumble, cowboy cookie and choco-chip cookie ($5). Once open, hours for Ruckus will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
