Blue Jacket, 135 E. National Ave., will host the first Third Coast Sunday on June 22 from noon to 4 p.m. Participating restaurants include Blue Jacket, Odd Duck, Amilinda, Bavette, Hinterland, Circa 1880, Sanford, Ardent and Wolf Peach.

The event, a benefit for the Alliance for the Great Lakes, will feature a pig roast, local music, a silent auction and the chance to learn more about community organizations that have a relationship with Milwaukee’s inner harbor and the Great Lakes.

Information will be available on local food resources as well as ways to support the Great Lakes freshwater resources.

For the event, Blue Jacket will create two craft punches using local products, house made syrups and fresh juices. Also, beverage tastings will be available from Great Lakes Distillery and Central Waters Brewing.

Central Waters will sell additional products and donate all proceeds to the Alliance for the Great Lakes.  Colectivo will serve hot and iced coffee throughout the day.

"Tom and I are very excited for Blue Jacket to host our first annual Taste of the Third Coast," said Laura van Heijningen, who co-owns Blue Jacket with her husband. "Coming up on our one-year anniversary this is the perfect time to celebrate the wonderful resources of our Great Lakes Region."

Tickets can be purchased online here for $55.
